Letter: Emanda A. Jones, Retired Teacher
To Whom It May Concern:
This is a letter that I am happy to write. Recently, I retired after teaching high school English for thirty-eight years, thirty-seven with the School City of Hammond. After listening to Mr. Dennis Smith’s THAT’S SMART series, I must say I am extremely impressed! The information in the series is very timely, extremely helpful, motivational, and inspirational. Some of his methods were introduced to my students last year by a guest speaker, and the students loved the exercises. Having used the methods for memorization, not only with my students, but also for myself, I can wholeheartedly attest to their effectiveness! An added bonus is that the CD’s can be incorporated into all subject areas across the board.
This series is definitely a worthwhile investment for anyone —– students, educators, parents, business personnel —- anyone who has to study, learn, test, organize and/or remember facts and information. It has been tailored to meet the needs of anyone interested in self-improvement. By basing the information on his own experiences as well as those of his young relatives, Dennis was able to gear it to the needs of all ages.
Because many of today’s students are so “busy,” with little or no time to learn the keys of self-discipline and self-motivation, many school systems are now having to train students in special class settings (i.e. transition class, Read 180, life skills, etc.) the same concepts that Mr. Smith is sharing in THAT’S SMART.
Without any reservations, I would recommend these CD’s as an effective learning tool for any student.
